Building & Grounds Administration

I tell people I have been at New Hope Baptist since nine months before I was born as my parents were members of New Hope long before I was born. In addition to my parents, I was discipled by some strong mentors and Bible teachers in Sunday School and what was then termed Training Union. I trusted the Lord as my Savior at the age of 15. At the age of 18 I was entrusted with about 17 youth to teach and lead in training union and soon thereafter was chairperson of youth committee which was long before student ministers became popular. I have served on and off church staff over the years. Currently I am on staff as building and grounds administrator part time. I am a full time educator starting my forty-fifth year on staff at Donelson Christian Academy as elementary physical education teacher and intramural director for K-5th grade students. I have also coached varsity basketball, volleyball, and softball, served as principal and spiritual life director at the school prior to returning to teaching physical education.
