Casual dress, contemporary music, a very strong kids program, a well-grounded youth program, classes on Sundays and Wednesdays, men's and women's ministries, two services on Sundays and loads more. Not too big , yet not too small.
We believe in the Bible which is the infallible, inspired Word of God. The Bible is real stuff, happening to real people who were real messed up sometimes. We still live in a messed up world today. Our only hope is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A lot of people say that but what does it really mean? Well, it's really no more than it suggests...a relationship, a connection,a rapport, a bond. It's confessing that we are not in control and putting our faith in the way Jesus lived in the pages of the Bible.
But the only way to truly experience what we believe is to stop by. If it doesn't show in our people, this text won't help much. We do two things at New Hope, worship experiences and small groups. Worship experiences are when we all get together to sing and hear a Biblically based, but culturally relevant message or sermon. We have these services at 9:00 and 10:30 on Sundays. Our kids and youth hold their own worship events as well.
The second thing we do are small groups. That's really where you get to meet people and get to do great things with our community. That would be like a Bible Study group, or a Wednesday night class, or a men's or women's group. The kids, youth, and college students also have small groups. These groups will do everything from sponsoring neighborhood cookouts, to fixing houses, to changing light bulbs and one even set up a drive-thru prayer service! So we're meeting corporately, we're meeting individually, but we're really meeting needs. We believe the church is God's design for our community and we're here to serve it.
