One of the best barometers of Christ-likeness is our willingness to serve. We believe God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. So we created 35 ways you can volunteer. We promise to make this fun (with the exception of the diaper changing.) General volunteer opportunities 1. Become an usher (one Sunday per month) 2. Be part of the Safety Team. -- The New Hope Safety Team currently needs men for the Sunday Morning parking lot detail -- one for each worship service. Must be 18 years old. You will be scheduled once every 4-5 weeks. 3. Help out with Baptism setup and clean up (once per month) 4. Be part of the regular grounds clean-up crew (once a quarter) 5. Help with busy work in the office - stuffing envelopes, bulk mailings, etc. (whenever you can help) 6. Pray weekly for the service. 7. Pray for the pastor and staff at New Hope 8. Pray weekly for those of our membership in the military (see bulletin) 9. Pray weekly for new opportunities to witness to others in our community 10. Volunteer to sit on the finance committee. 11. Become a greeter (about once a month) 12. Help out with Touch Ministries (i.e. checking on visitors who've requested info) 13. Offer to fix something you see broken in the church Music Stuff 14. Run the PowerPoint slides - we'll train (once every six weeks) 15. Help run sound (need to have sound mixing experience) 16. Become a musician (auditions required) 17. Get involved with singing (auditions required) Men's Ministry 18. Help organize a Men's Ministry Event. Women's Ministry 19. Help organize a Women's Ministry Event. 20. Volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Children Activities 21. Volunteer for the Nursery (once a month or more or less). 22. Volunteer to be a Preschool Teacher's Assistant (once a month). 23. Volunteer to teach a Preschool Class. 24. Volunteer to teach a kids' Sunday School Class. 25. Volunteer to teach a kids' Wednesday Night Bible Study Class. 26. Join the Kids' Praise Team. 27. Join the Kids' Human Video Team. 28.
